Angela Bright Pearson, Au.D., brings both professional expertise and deeply personal understanding to her work in audiology. Having experienced childhood hearing loss herself, she received her first hearing aid at age 16—a moment that changed her life. The clarity, confidence, and connection she regained inspired her to pursue a career helping others experience the same transformation. She knows firsthand the emotional impact of hearing loss and the life-changing difference that well-fit hearing aids can make.

Among the first audiologists in the United States to earn a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree in 2000 from the University of Florida, Pearson also holds a Master’s degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology from UNC Greensboro. Her career spans clinical care, teaching, leadership, and national-level contributions to the field. She has taught at UNC Greensboro and UNC Chapel Hill, served on state audiology boards, and presented and published nationally.

In 2009, she was featured on the cover of Advance for Audiologists for her leadership as a female practice owner and audiologist. She is certified by the American Board of Audiology, the highest credential available in the profession, and holds specialized certification in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy. She also has advanced expertise in Auditory Processing Disorders, providing comprehensive evaluation and management for patients of all ages.

For decades, Pearson has earned the trust of physicians and the appreciation of patients for her compassionate approach, technical precision, and commitment to individualized care. She prides herself on staying current with advancements in audiology technology while remaining mindful of family budgets and practical needs. Since opening her practice in 1996, she has helped thousands of patients reconnect with the world around them.

Originally from Sanford, Pearson continues to live there with her husband and daughter. Outside the clinic, she enjoys camping traveling—especially to the beach—water skiing, and playing piano at Asbury United Methodist Church, where she is an active member.

Angela Bright Pearson, Au.D., combines personal insight, advanced clinical training, and a genuine passion for helping others hear their very best.
